Policies
So Everyone Has Fun and Nothing Weird Happens
Why? Oh, why?
We want your wedding to be amazing, not stressful. These policies exist to keep things running smoothly, protect the venue, and make sure your day stays focused on celebrating — not problem-solving. Most of this is common sense, but we like to be clear so there are no surprises. If you ever have questions, your coordinator is always your go-to.
Valuables & Personal Items
Please keep secure your personal items and valuables on arrival - as these items are highly sensitive, it is not for us to handle them. Put them in your bag early on, and lock them in our storage / groom's room.
Assign someone to be in charge of gifts and cards. The cards can stay in our complimentary, secure cards box until your delegate is ready for them. At that time we will unlock the cards box in front of them so they can ensure they got everything.
This keeps everything safe and avoids awkward “where did it go?” moments.
Outside Food & Beverage
All catering and bar service must go through the venue — this keeps food safety, staffing, and timing consistent.
You may bring:
- Nut-free, non-perishable desserts or snacks which do not require refrigeration.
- Items purchased from a licensed, brick-and-mortar business
You may not bring:
- Homemade or cottage-licensed food
- Outside alcohol (it will be confiscated)
- Marijuana or derivatives (not allowed anywhere on the property)
If you bring snacks, please bring the serving items too. We’ll happily help restock during the event.
Also: no tailgating. Please let your wedding party know ahead of time.
Bar Service Expectations
We keep bar service fun and responsible.
- The bar closes 30 minutes before the event ends
- Everyone may be carded — yes, even Grandma
- Guests who appear intoxicated will not be served
- Outside alcohol is not allowed
These rules protect you, your guests, and the overall vibe of the night.
Decor Rules (What Works, What Doesn’t)
We love personal décor — it just needs to be venue-friendly.
Allowed
- Free-standing décor
- LED candles
- Professional decorators (within your rental time)
Not Allowed
- Glitter or confetti
- Balloons
- Smoke bombs
- Live candles
- Tape, nails, screws, hooks, tacks, zip ties, command strips
- Hanging anything from walls, ceilings, or light fixtures
All décor, gifts, and personal items must be removed at the end of the event. Anything left behind will be discarded — we don’t have storage space and need to get ready for the next day.
Chairs & Furniture
Chairs are included. If you’d like chairs removed or pads taken off, a flat fee applies due to extra labor and storage.
Guest Behavior & Safety
We want a great party — just not an unsafe one.
Not allowed:
- Chair lifting
- Tossing people in the air
- Dancing on tables, bar or really anywhere that is not a normal floor
- Stunts involving jumping, dropping, or crowd lifting
You’re responsible for your guests’ behavior. Aggressive or disrespectful behavior toward staff or other guests isn’t tolerated. If a situation escalates, we first ask the parents to approach the culprits (embarassment is usually enough). Failing that, law enforcement may be contacted — our staff does not physically intervene.
Damage Responsibility
Any damage caused by you or your guests is your responsibility. Rule violations may result in loss of the damage deposit, and damages are assessed at actual repair or replacement cost. Please educate your decor team what they may and may not do - that is 90% of what happens when it does.
A Few Helpful Final Notes
Sparkler exits are allowed outside only, supervised by your coordinator
Guests may leave cars overnight; pickup is required by noon the next day
Please arrange safe rides home
Special meals are accommodated with one entrée — just provide names and table numbers in advance
Why This Matters
These guidelines help us focus on hospitality instead of enforcement — and help you focus on having fun instead of managing issues. When expectations are clear, weddings run smoother, guests are happier, and the whole day feels easier.
And that’s the goal.
